  1. You sound like me when I started on my first biologic. I think you’re on to something. Even though the injection is two weeks apart, that gives you time to build up the dread. I still hold out hope that the med will work for you. Fingers crossed!

  2. The good weeks are when there is no jab scheduled. I had to handle an actual syringe, stick the needle in, pull back on the plunger to make sure I was in the right place and then push the plunger in. It stung for a bit. I hated it, and I usually used my abdomen. I would recruit my friends to inject my arms. Never did do my thighs. Couldn’t make myself do it! I hope this starts working for you soon.

  3. Like Irma I prefer the stomach. Lord knows there is enough padding there. I always found the thigh stung. Hope the Humira kicks in soon and you get some relief.

  4. I know how you feel. I go through that same thing when it’s time for my lab work. Almost every time, two arms are involved. I hate that feeling, but love the relief when it’s over. I hope these injections will subdue your dragon. Sending you my best wishes.

  5. I haven’t gotten to the point in my treatment that I need to self inject. I’m a nurse, I’ve injected thousands of patients, but… when it comes to sticking anything in my own body, I tend to be a baby. Checking my own blood sugar during testing of equipment (and in school) was always a challenge to me; I had to close my eyes and look away. Counting to three only built the anticipatory sting, so I stopped counting and just did it. I’m glad I have people to go to, if and when this becomes part of my treatment.
